The aeronautics sector in Morocco, which is made up of about 50 companies employing more than 2,000 workers, intends to triple its turnover to one billion euros by 2012, authoritative sources told PANA here.
The turnover had reached 300 million euros in 2003, due to the establishment of foreign companies, indicated Aeronautical Morocco in a statement transmitted to PANA on Wednesday.
The document specified that the sector also intended to double the number of jobs in the next four years.

Great groups, inter alia, the Franco-German EADS and American Lockheed Martin are already established in Morocco, mainly in Casablanca and Rabat.

According to the statement, the advantages of setting up shop in Morocco are "multiple" --there are qualified labour, which costs 70 per cent less than in Europe, the geographical proximity with Europe and tax exemption for the campanies which invest in this sector.
